Tradition and Manipulation; art works used as references as if cultural adverbs.

This is perhaps the most multifaceted project I’ve done. Using QR code encryption and a set of mirrors, I evidence the multiple views of a single figure. Constructed around an image with great cultural content, I aim to testify how this component can develop a narrative with great pull within its scope. Such is the case with Marcel Duchamp’s Le Grand Verre and El Greco’s El Laocoon. Likewise with the 16th century anonymous Persian illumination, depicting a knight reigning over the fundaments of his culture (Persian Empire, Islamic and pre-Islamic), amassed in the shape of his saddle. The three works refer to practices that play an important role in cultural processes; works are integrated as narrative, like a joker or   adverbs of a cultural language.
